And another update - it seems the "pilot" was trying to kill himself. A half assed suicide attempt / plea for attention....

he flew around for 2 hours before running out of fuel. you'd think if he wanted to kill himself he'd just nose dive it. I don't think you need to be a pilot to figure that out. guess he was having second thoughts for 2 hours and then ran out of fuel?

He said "i keep trying to kill myself but god won't take me". sheesh

here is an interview of his baby's mama who picked him up in the woods after his crash.

According the FAA's database (name matches address in the news story), he had a student pilot certificate in 2004...

I read a book once that said 'they will wish for death but it will not come'.

It's interesting the number of people who are depressed because of "failures" in life that attempt suicide. Then they add one more thing to that list.

Obviously, he and the girlfriend are cut from the same cloth. Drama-doe-drama.
