I have a Meyers 200D with IO 520A. Top overhaul done 500 hrs ago. The #6 cylinder is running hot (400-450) on climb out. It is weird because it is the left front cylinder. Things AP/IA checked: Fuel injector, fuel line, engine baffling, spark plug, mag timing. All ok. I am climbing at poh recommend airspeed. Cowl flaps open. Mixture is full rich. Fuel flow 25+gph. Borescope of cylinder is good. Compressions good. Once in cruise, all is fine. Temp goes down to 375. We are at a dead end. Any ideas? Thanks

You didn’t mention intake leak check. More air is more lean and more hot (up to a point). Make sure hoses and intake are tight for that cylinder. Too tight can also crush deform tubes and worsen leaks. Long shot.

That’s cylinder #6 right? Those are notorious for running hot. Mine did the same and I installed a GAMI #6 baffle kit and temps are waaay down now on it.

Did you install gami injectors and new engine baffles? Please clarify.

Did you verify that the sensor on that cylinder is reading correctly?

Scroll down to the bottom of the list. I installed the #6 kit only. Basically you add a hole in the governor plate and a new baffle around the cylinder in its simplest terms. It wasn’t hard at all. Took maybe an hour.
