Some of you all met Robert Capps (who came with Will Hawkins) last year at Gastons. Well...GREAT news. He passed his private pilot checkride yesterday. :yesnod: CONGRATULATIONS ROBERT!!!!!

I won't be there this year, but I'm hoping to make it next year... and yes, I'll take you flying when (not if) I make it back out to Gaston's.

BTW, I owe you a huge thank you - I forgot all about the acrobatic DVDs you were going to send me, and they sat in a pile of mail that my wife sorted for MONTHS. Just found them this weekend. Feeling somewhat embarrassed :frown3:

I drop in from time to time, and happened to see Brook's post. I suspect I'll be around a bit more now that I'm not studying aviation material every free moment I'm awake ;)

Now, to plan my first passenger trip, lunch in Napa next weekend! :yesnod:

Of course, the big decision I need to make, what do I want to train for next??

a) transition into the Cirrus SR-20.
b) Tailwheel endorsement in the Citabria.
c) Acrobatic/spin training.

Decisions... decisions... :)

Reguardless of what else you do it can't hurt to get some an hour or two of spin training.

And remember, plastic is for kids - real pilots drive aluminum or fabric (or sumthin'):D

Remember, now: Real pilots fly stiff legged trigears. Tailwheels are for pansies.

Yes. :yes: :D

I'd say "it depends." If you have a spouse who doesn't know why you do this, getting that Cirrus checkout and taking her to a few faraway places to see her family, go do something she likes, etc. may help you get money appropriated for b&c. ;)

Otherwise, I'd say that combining b & c would be a great next step. :)
 
Well, the first official passenger looks to be my wife - this coming weekend.

We'll be having Lunch in Napa, and a couple of my friends are flying up from Palo Alto to meet us there. A nice short ride to get her used to the idea of flying places - since she's never been in a GA aircraft.

Here's to hoping the wind at Napa isn't as bad as it was for my checkride ;)

You could do the tailwheel add-on and the aerobatics in a Citabria... it's a no-brainer. :D
