I'm not a "horse person", but my ex-wife was...when I was married we had horses, and at times we would only have one horse. I learned that horses are social animals, and they like/need a companion, so along with the single horse, we had our share of goats, ponies, barn cats, etc. I would have thought my ex-wife was scamming me, with an excuse to buy cute baby goats and the like, except that I saw with my own eyes how a horse would act when left to it's lonesome self (not good).

So all this got me thinking, my plane sits alone, night after night, in it's hangar. Sure, I visit it often, and it is always so happy to see me when I show up, but when I leave it looks oh-so-lonely. Sooooo.... I decided to get it a "companion". What do you think? I think they are already getting along together quite splendidly:

Are you sure your plane doesn't see that "companion" as competition for your time, attention, affection and...your money?

You might have to buy it some new Garmin panel jewelry just to keep it from pouting. :D

Someone needs to bring back the Suitcase Cycle. It was the brainchild of a pilot that wanted transportation at the other end. He devised a method to disassemble a Honda 90 and slide it into the cargo door of a 172.

Now that would be a good companion to my Cardinal.

SUPER HAWK! I had a couple of those. Sound lovely, ride good.

Companions are awesome. But expensive!
Oh wait, we're talking fast bikes, right? :D

Not my Cherokee, not my bike, but both were fun nonetheless! :)

A friend of mine had a Superhawk. Nice machine, especially with some decent (but not too loud) pipes on it.

Get thyself to a trackday!

I put one of these in the plane at times (and there is an electric model, pictured):

Here's my airport putt-putt. I love how 50 cc can take a 200-lb. guy up to 35 mph and get 100 mpg. (Note that I'm both a Future Champion and a VIP. :D)

I put my FJR1300 in my hangar so my 182 had a companion.

I love to fly but sometimes I just need time on a motorcycle.

Interesting, but can't help but notice that their specifications page shows every possible dimension except weight.

Weight was listed in the specs. I believe it was 64 lb., a bit of a workout to haul in and out of a plane. Pretty cool the way it folds up, though.
