Wayne McGhee with Garmin is offering a seminar in Colorado Springs on Wednesday June 17th at 6:30pm.

Our company is offering up the facility to do the seminar, and also provide light refreshments... and will try to arrange for a few of our retrofit aircraft to be there... at the following location:

Colorado Springs Airport
Cutter Aviation
1360 Aviation Way
Colorado Springs, CO 80916

Wayne will cover glass cockpits, EFIS Retrofits, and handhelds... since he works for Garmin aircraft aftermarket, he will of course focus on the G600.

I've never been to Wayne's presentation, but I've seen Mike Young's before, so I'm looking forward to it. They have a pretty slick demonstrator setup, and they will go through many of the functions page by page... usually custom tailored to the audience, and they can go into pretty good detail. This is great for someone who currently has a G600, or is looking into it as an option.

He'll also have a 696 handheld there to take through its paces.

I plan on going, if anyone here is interested, please let me know... or if you know anyone who this would benefit, please pass this on.

Garmin usually has "Seminar Bucks" there for people who purchase a Garmin product subsequently, as the main reason behind this is for them to market what they offer.

Dave

Warning:

COS is an airport with scheduled airline service. June 1, 2009 has passed. If you're flying in, call Cutter and ask about TSA/SD-8G and what arrangements they have for this presentation.

Murphey,

For fly-in visitors, the line service provides an escort. For added assurance, call ahead for a reservation 719-591-2065.

Since the airline terminal is on the other side of the field, it's not too much of a hassle unless someone starts running across the runways and taxiways with a couple of ELT batteries duct-taped to their torso. :yikes:

Since my C310 is a base customer there at Cutter in COS, if they need an aircraft to demo install one of the G600's, I would consider letting it be mine... and I wouldn't even charge them! ;) ;) ;) lol
