I’m still in for the body count and chatting with Mark about where to meet up so that’s two. Karen is out at a singing gig, pretty sure.

I bought my twins Thing1 and Thing2 tee shirts at some gift shop in upstate New York. They still have them.
 
I’m hoping I’m in. I think I am no longer contagious since yesterday or a day before.

AFAICT, 2PM Saturday, it’s on.

If it isn’t, Mark and I will be there eating lunch all by ourselves. Hahaha.

You need to take the Monkey to tactical firearms training. ;)

Monkey goes to Front Sight! :) but I'm not taking him! BTW, the part where you said "chatting with Mark about where to meet" is what threw me for a curve - thinking the destination was being changed up to an alternate.

I'm coming up to BJC with Nate, so he and I had to figure out where he and I will meet before we head up there.
 
I will be at KBJC - prbly via Ford - not Commander.
2:00 PM - at the restaurant?
Looking for:
  • An armed monkey who needs training
  • A person in a corner behind a glass wall in isolation with a phone - but part of the group
  • Thing 1 and Thing 2
  • 1/2 of a group drinking water with a lemon twist - because they are getting avionics
I will be the guy with a sign for money and busing tables - as I just updated my panel and am enjoying a steady diet of ramen noodles

Nice turn out. Flying up with Mark was fun and i was only 50% distracted by the new GTN. LOL. But that’s good, since I got another flight to play with it a little and now the rest of my flights this month it’ll be mostly ignored. Ha.

Mark is a traffic magnet. Haha. That or you just see a lot more of it with ADS-B! Hahaha. Kidding Mark. :) I’ve been flying a lot during weekdays when the airports are quiet, so APA telling us we had three ahead, same altitude, crossing, was like “really?!” LOL.

BJC didn’t disappoint. No forecast for wind, we arrive and it’s gusting over 20. Ha. Ahhh BJC... :)

Lunch was awesome. I order a chef’s salad thinking I’ll be a little bit healthy and it’s twice the size of the burgers. Hahaha. Wow. Oh well. Vitamins! Haha.

Monkey is headed back east!

Great to see everyone. And we learned that Austin is leaving us, darn it! But for a good reason.

Mark noticed I was staring off the end of the nose in my airplane again. Good catch Mark. That was my first flight in the left seat of my airplane in a long time and I fell back into that old habit. Ohhhh well. Will be out flying it in the other seat again this week and next. Time to start polishing up for the checkride.

Karen wasn’t there but she said to say hi to all. She’s on her way back from Craig and should be home before midnight hopefully.

Every time one of these gets scheduled other plans take priority. Plus it's hard for me to be a "people person", being the new guy it's hard for me to walk in to a place and be all like "what's up all?!"
 
Man. I got stuck doing chick fil a playgroubd and getting my furnace fixed. All better now.

So? Walk in, find a seat in the corner. We don't bite (insert DS9 joke here) and are harmless, for the most part. Order lunch, keep eating, no one will expect you to talk.

I was thinking about that as I walked out to the car. Watched Nate & Mark preflight then headed home. They were back at KAPA while I was stuck in traffic on I70 (accident).
 
By the way, for those hoping for photos, the Colorado contingent did our usual bang up job of not pulling out a single camera at the luncheon. Hahaha.

@midlifeflyer has a couple of shots of us two, but that’s not the same. :)

This may turn into “a thing”. No photos, no evidence, you know. Hahahaha.

I even reminded Mark that we HAD to have photographic evidence of the transfer of custody of the monkey and he acknowledged ... and then off y'all went.
