This is crazy.. I have had 2 times now in the past week when flying my drone 300-400' AGL almost been hit by an airplane. I sure as hell don't fly my airplane that low other than take off and landing. I even got a picture of one guy going right past me at 350' AGL, maybe 200' away :yikes:. (Sorry, not gonna share it). There has always been low flyers around me, but I didn't realize they were this low. Didn't those pilots know that airspace was for my "FAA Registered" drone? They better go back to pilot school. WTF.. ;) :)

Maybe they were on a strafing run at your drone!:rofl::rofl:

It might help if you move off the approach end of the runway at your local airport.

One of these days one of these irresponsible airplane flyers is going to take out one of our drones!

Was it a EAB STOL? I know one that flies low n slow out in the WV hills. See and avoid...just kidding. It is a matter of time before one of us takes one theough the windshield at 3,000' agl. There is a guy up the Ohio river that likes to fly in the clouds at 3,500' agl with his.

FTFY. :rolleyes2:

i am just off to the side of an approach, and see pilots constantly flying 50-200' above our trees, which are 50' above our neighborhood.

i THOUGHT i read in the FAR something about 1000' above densely populated areas, but maybe i misread it. :)

when i fly that route, i stay on the actual approach, which is over the lake (500' to the side) and is therefore not any danger if my engine goes belly up

Has anyone tried the new drone chem trail units yet? I was wondering how much area can be covered.
