But I still prefer the Landmark Hotel implosion used in Mars Attacks! (yes, that really was a hotel demolition in Vegas).

Great idea! Way to ease tensions with the neighbors and get hired again. Don't just blow up a building, put on a show!! It cost this company significantly extra, but I'm pretty damn sure it will pay dividends.

Candlestick Park in San Francisco is scheduled for demolition and I have heard that they will be blowing it up, rather than just tearing it down bit by bit. That's cool. See if they did all demolitions like Vegas, they could make money off concession stands and make a whole event out of it.
