Classic example when you do not want any offers

But it has leather seats and dual PTT buttons!

I think someone forgot to tell him that you only get back at most half of what you put in for paint, interior and avionics.

7,000 TT and 1,300 SMOH, yeah, he's off the mark by more than a little. Maybe a 182 with these specs is worth that much, no way an Archer.

Well, everywhere he goes people tell him how nice it looks! Besides, do any of YOU have an airplane that flies BETTER on XC flights? I didn't think so.

I actually saw an 182 more than a month ago, much better equipped (GTN 650 and other goodies), was at 90k. someone else moved faster than me :(

But do they comment on the accuracy of his gauges??

I remember when that wasn't too far out of the ordinary.

Now if it had a donut, I will be all over this

In all fairness, it does have an ELT. But why it has two GMA340's I'll never know. That makes it an 8 place intercom?

So what do you guys think this one is worth? It's definitely nice looking. Maybe $50K?

Yeah 50k-55k sounds about right.

Paint and Interior look immaculate. Only kicker is the mid-time engine.

I've always thought PA-28's look best with their pants on.

It's somewhat more than mid-time...

This is nothing, a few weeks back I replied to a AD in transformers, about 150 miles away from where I live, it's a piper with avionics from Lincoln era, asking for 59k, the bird has ran exactly 422 hrs in 22 years. When I said first it's valued at 40, even that is higher. 2nd I need to take my A&P and take a look inside the motor to see if there are any corrosion from sitting around, he got offended and gave me the middle finger

So I'm curious....

It's not uncommon to have threads pop up about some guy asking ridiculous amounts of money for a plane and there is normally some good banter at the sellers expense. Has it ever turned out to be a poa member selling the plane?

I bet he's hoping to recover all that he put into it recently. New paint and interior in 2014, and a new transponder for ADS-B, which must be recent.

Do you suppose he can get even half that back?

There's a sucker born every minute. I'd say he'll be able too, but he'll sit on it for a good while.

Besides lowering his price, he could improve his outcome if he asked somebody to turn his photos the right way. And to correct his spelling. And to put the pants on.

I bet the reason the wheel pants are not currently installed is because they are cracked or otherwise damaged.

Looks like he is in Wisconsin, so they may be off because of the snow and ice. The place I rent from takes wheel pants off in the winter.

Maybe it's just a guy who took a team of A&P/AI's, painters, avionics experts, upholstery, etc, who all went in on an airplane, did their magic, and now are trying to turn it around and sell it for a profit...you know, they got their advice how to make money refurbishing aircraft from the most knowledgeable of all POA members...

As I've been looking at planes I'm amazed how many of the photos are just crap. One listing had little tiny pictures, so I sent an email to the seller asking for photos, and got the same thing. The one I'm looking at now didn't have any photos from the front with the entire wings. I'm sure there were a few candidates I simply dismissed since they had one outside photo and another with half the panel. When I went to view the one I'm in pre-buy on now I took my good camera and spent close to an hour taking something like 150 photos. Maybe I'll do a post on what photos for a plane on sale should look like if I end up with it.

Of course, this isn't unique to planes, I saw the same problems when I was trying to buy a house from 600 miles away.

Some internet experts were quite insistent that he could get his money back!

That small photo dibacle... it's not a high airframe archer is it?

@tawood if I hurt your feelings, upset you, or offended you in anyway, I sure do apologize. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you if that's the case? :dunno:

Put your hands behind your back and submit to authority. Deputies don't get hurt feelings, they simply do their job.
