Line Up and Wait
Just curious (and fortunately we're only 1k into the engine...)...
What do O-540 overhaul's run these days? We're planning for around $25 in the engine fund but one of my partners said he talked to a guy at the field the other day who just had his 182 done with the same engine and it ran twice that?? He didn't elaborate on if there were other things going on, complications, etc... but everything I've seen/read on the O-540 (carb not fuel injected) is that $25-30k should cover it.
Just curious if anyone has had one done lately and what the final cost ended up being...primarily so we can adjust our engine fund if need be.
