Saw this on facebook via David White and downloaded it. I'm interested to see what the FAA does about it.
Yea, just ratchet strap it onYeah but he said the other one is not doing the same thing. I would think they’d just rig a quasi Fly Baby wing strut and you’re good.
It’s an Arrow that self-identifies as a Tomcat. It’s the rare “adjustable wingspan” speed mod STC...gear comes up, wingtips come in...
The fore and aft attachment points are weakest on the fuselage side of things. It’s a narrow formed aluminum channel piece that fails in tension when the wing is pulled/pushed forward or aft. The forward piece is just in front of the seat rails and has a plastic cover.Me thinks maybe a wing attach bolt is sheared?
He said only one wing was doing it. I think it'll be fine
Reminds me of the flaps on the C-150s I trained in.
Yup. My God you do have two wings ya know?
No, just all low wingsDon't all Pipers do that?....
Don't all Pipers do that?....
Don't all Pipers do that?....
shew.....the left ones are loser.Only the right-wing ones.

I'm assuming the weight of the fuselage is supported by blocks or something, because the weight on the landing gear would cause the attach point to bind. My guess is they were in the process of removing the wing and filmed the clip to mess with people.
Yes, and I consider this to be very irresponsible, if not fraudulent.I'm assuming the weight of the fuselage is supported by blocks or something, because the weight on the landing gear would cause the attach point to bind.
