Check this out. Amazing!

If it ain't Boeing I anin't going!

There's a reason for that saying...

Cool post.

Awesome bomber.

However, there's something wrong with the story. The letter says the pics are somewhere over North Africa, but the story talks about returning over the Channel to a base in England.

The 97th Bombardment Group moved from England to Africa in November 1942, before this incident.

Still, a great story.

I saw a show or documentary on this. Look for it. Fantastic stuff.

Interesting, I wonder if he meant 'The Med' rather than 'The Channel'? Either way, that's a buttload of damage.

Incredible, I'd seen the pics but never read the story

That is a great story. Thanks for taking this opportunity to discuss this, I feel fervently about this and I like learning about this subject. Certain two facts on that site unequivocally the best we have all had. The bomber was so badly damaged that it was losing altitude and speed and was soon alone in the sky. Now I am going to glance up this web site usually on my PC. Everything in this post is completely true!
