Capital City Tower, Live ATC, is telling other pilot that they are reporting an engine failure. I have not found the audio yet of the actual distress call.
Looks like they very nearly made it to Capital City, this intersection is about 1 mi from 08.
The flight path provides a few things to ponder:
Were they enroute to 9N7? Looking at the history it seems like that might have been their home airport. And the track seems to suggest that general direction.
If so it is odd, that they started descending at around 30 minutes. Is this perhaps an indication of a partial engine failure at that point?
