@GeorgeC and @SkyDog58 how about an example for a non-owner newbie thinking of buying.

What does it cost, reasonably, to get compliant? I assume that xpdr goes and is replaced with something, and maybe a slide in com radio replacement for the existing, and that runs you around . . .

For my 140A, a 335 was $5k installed. A friend recently got a Stratus ESG for his Luscombe for about $4k.

For my Sky Arrow, it looks like about $1,850 should get the job done, with me doing the install.



That assumes my existing transponder antenna passes muster. This is with a Garmin GTX327 transponder already in place.

This gives me hope. I paid much less than that for my 140 and it at least has paint...

I couldn't see the engine hours, so it must have a fairly fresh engine for that price...
