Central Texas Winter - Photos

Sorry to rub it in, but we expect it to get to 81 degrees here in Austin this week, which means lots of flying, girls in short shorts, etc! Feels like Spring!

Here are some recent photos I took on our $100 Hamburger adventures. Come on down and join us!

That's all for now. Hopefully more flying this weekend!

Bee-yoo-tiful!

Beautiful planes, but where's the pics of girls in short shorts?

They are elusive my friend... they are not naturally found at small airports. Occasionally one will stumble in thinking they're going to find a rich pilot to latch on to... not likely at my airport!

Yeah well, you teased us with that opening statement! ;)

Nice pictures of some beautiful, well kept airplanes.

Hi Jack, when did you go to Cameron and Fburg? (pictures 7 and 10 give it away ;) )
Last weekend? We were in Cameron on Sunday for a burger. Ran into a nice gentleman with a Tiger (for some reason cannot recall his name)

Gorgeous pictures, keep 'em coming.
And gosh darn it, stop teasing and post some nice pictures of girls in short skirts!! Especially with cowboy boots on. ;)

It is cold today, 60, (that's "Texas cold") but should be in 80's, as Jack pointed out. I feel bad for MN, IL, MI and other northern states who are getting a lot of snow and are closer to 0. But hey, y'all are welcome to come down here and fly with us!

We flew our LSA from West Texas to Conroe and back over the weekend, with a fuel stop in Llano. It was beautiful weather all the way, and the forecast is great for my flight to DTO next Friday. It's good to be flying in TX!

:happydance:

Beautiful airplanes!

But what about the Central Texas summers? :goofy:

It's been REAL nice here lately as well, now that the Stupor Bowl TFR is gone.

I've witnessed a Central Texas Winter. It was funny as hell watching the locals in Waco as the temperature hit 31.7 deg and there was just a tiny bit of that -- umm, what do you call the white stuff that falls from the sky?

Was there this weekend. Was glad I didn't have a PAX as the winds were "sporty". Landed KEDC Saturday ... there was wind shear right at the approach end. I warned the King Air #2 behind me ... I guess it got worse, he went around as did the Cirrus #3.

Gas in Llano is 3.10 right now ... still at 4.70 here in El Paso.

Don't know, didn't meet him. Someone asked me it if it was Tom's Pitts! It was at Fredericksburg, but I think he just flew in for the EAA meeting. Assuming he wasn't local.

Also, is that Aaron's Pitts?

It's not Aaron's Pitts. Pretty sure it belongs to my friend Tom who won the intermediate category at the aerobatics deal not to long ago.

That is a very pretty 140. I hope I never see it spinning tho... it's so pretty I'd walk like a zombie right into the prop. :D

That is awesome and beautiful planes for sure.
But not sure I would know what to do with a winter final approach it it wasn't all white...:rofl:

That's a beautiful shot! I love to see snow, but don't want to live with it! My Dad lives in the Texas panhandle. They get snow and it's gone in a few days... my kind of snow!

That is awesome and beautiful planes for sure.

Wow, nobody else is concerned that we're still missing the girls in short skirts?

I'm working on it! How about this one? Not short skirts, but some of our beautiful Texas ladies posing with my previous airplane!
