Or if you want to read the real story go to Supercub.org.

In other news two folks in a Cessna 152 crashed on the Kahiltna Glacier the other day after stalling the aircraft.

You were right Martha, that landing area was a bit too short.

"When was the last time the brakes were checked?"

We had a guy over run at Camano Island and go over the steep bank and the plane was just stopped by only the exhaust stack pointing down into an old stump. Almost as spectacular as this shot.

Unless the engine is broke, if he would have kept going it wouldnt have been too bad. With a few horsepower and some vertical and near vertical slope, he could have probably flown out of that. Hanging up is what screwed him over and endangered them.

" Tower, could you send some ground equipment to take care of a 400' rock drift on the runway?"

Don't need no steenking panzy runways. Just cut the rope and we're airborne.

If he wouldn't have turned out to try and save the landing, he would have gone nicely off the snow edge and been airborne again.

"Guess the tailhook mod didn't work..."

That's what I was thinking. Not going to stop in time = full throttle.

"Missed it by that much"
