Final Approach
Given that Avgas is less dense than water - I believe it would. I know one of my former CG pilots ditched on a HNL-SFO flight in his homebuilt, and even though his wings were completely full the airplane floated just fine.

I doubt that.
It is more likely the link was to whatever MSNBC wants their latest video to be and not specifically the airplane crash video.

They called it a "crash" a few too many times. A couple of times, though, they did call it a "ditching" or an "emergency landing". Probably will be an off-field landing of the week on UCAP!
