I was going to suggest you head across town to FTG.
When I checked it at 6:45 this morning it was 8SM vis, scattered at 2300.
Now it looks like this:

Final Approach
Just local, Dave. Been trying to get an early morning flight in for the last week and the weather gods have been against me! Earlier this week I showed up at the field to more low ceilings and the weirdest thing. At the tower looking west, one could see the mountains (vis around 20+). Looking east? couldn't even see the end of the runway ...
