Earlier today i was browsing away using Mozilla. But all of a sudden I could not get to the PoA page. I have been looking at IP stuff but nothing I can see. I can get to the site use IE. So I went and cleaned out all the cookies from Mozilla but that did not work either.

Any ideas?

Are you using Mozilla or Firefox? The latter has a Safe Mode installed by default that you might try to see if it makes a difference. I'm hitting this using Firefox 2.0.0.14 without (apparent) difficulty, so I don't think it's anything on the site's end.

I'm also connecting ok with Firefox 2.0.0.14.

What is error or problem you see when you try to connect? And what version of Firefox are you using. (If you're not sure, click on Help and then click on About Firefox.)

Interesting IE is no longer working for getting to PoA. This is only seen on PoA all other sites I need to go to are alright.

If I log into my VPN at home I can get into everything, that is how I am getting here right now.

So it seems somehow network related. I ran a couple of tracert's to see if there is some problem with the DNS or the network path. What I see is the DNS working but the connections timeout in NY somewhere. So I think it is a problem with how Greece is getting into the US.

Talked to the the network guys here and we are using a different DNS. Now it seems to be working. Strange that IE worked for a while while Firfox did not. I thought Windoze used the same settings fro all the apps. But apparently IE was using a different DNS from my previous network connection. Once that finally updated with the new Greek DNS I could no longer get to PoA except through the VPN connection.

So the Greece connection is stuck? Well, you know the solution when you're stuck!

Grease?

Probably a difference in caching the addresses.

Speaking of blocking, Hilton properties are apparently using a DNS that blocks access to a major frequent-traveler forum (FlyerTalk).
