California flight with ATC comms issues

I recently flew down the California coast and experienced some difficulties with communicating with ATC.

 
Does anyone else grow tired or bored of these excuse or fake reason based videos? Open wish... could we please have substantive content?

This video could have been 60 seconds... I couldn't hear ATC properly, replaced crappy old audio panel and radios to something made in last 10 years. I can hear now, and can more safely fly IFR.

Great photography. Trip down memory lane. I’ve lived, worked and flown a lot of that. Like the wife’s aahhh at the end when you opened the door.
 
I didn’t listen. Just fly the outskirts, no need to talk to anyone, maybe mumble to yourself.

I almost posted the same thought. Subforum on social media adds.... AND POA charges a couple of buck to advertise, since they are using this forum as a means to get eyeballs for ad clicks.

Ever notice these ads are from people who don't regularly participate on POA?

Other impractical ideas:
  • Many have from 1-20 posts. Maybe a 200 post minimum to post social media ads or YouTube inserts
  • Charge $5-10
  • Every video has a voting for relevancy poll
  • Move them to a special classified ads section
 
Ignore the naysayers. POA can be a tough crowd sometimes, LOL. I liked it. Perhaps some are thrown off by the title but, as a guy who also posts videos, I understand why you did it. Also your low posting number will turn some off. To those thinking he's doing this for ad clicks you are ill-informed. Did you see an ad in his video? He only has 44 subscribers. You can't even monetize until 1,000 subs and trust me, the ad money is laughable.

Shelter Cove has been on my go-to list for awhile. I need to head up there.
 
ZOA has some pretty bad radio coverage in some areas, especially up on the edges of their airspace with Seattle Center.
