Those airplanes were altered long long time ago for the filming of Tora, Tora, Tora. Also used extensively in other TV shows and movies in the late 70s and 80s.

Yep, they are all T-6 Texans, despite the major differences in structural appearance.

Yup. In 1969 20th Century Fox had something like 50 Harvard/T-6s and I believe BT-13s converted into Japanese aircraft for Tora Tora Tora and they went on to appear in Midway, the Black Sheep movie/TV series, Final Countdown, Tales of the Gold Monkey and many others.

The CAF has a few and several others are in private hands now.
