Wow. It's difficult to imagine the demons some people are fighting. I've had some black days and black periods in my life, but I am simply incapable of imagining what would cause someone to do that.

Not that uncommon, sadly.

Sold a $2M West Palm Beach condo and still owed the IRS a half a million? (Low whistle...) That's a wicked lifestyle adjustment coming up for the remaining family.

Maybe he thought a life insurance policy payout from a policy he'd held for a long time would help them more than he could. Many term policies end at age 70.

Twisted, but the circumstances could indicate it.
