My wife and I have matching Schwinn bicycles that date back to the Clinton administration.

We're in a better position to use them now with where we live in Goodyear, but she’s never been 100% pleased with the seating position on hers.

My parents were “Raleigh snobs”, but that company is not what it was.

We have been watching lots of “Father Brown” lately on PBS and a little searching found he rides a Pashley Roadster which looks like a vintage Raleigh in many ways. Pashley is seemingly the benefactor of much of the Raleigh staff and tooling before the company sent frame manufacturing to China. I got her to ride one and she loved it!

This coming week Santa will be delivering her a Pashley Princess Sovereign.

those look nice.
A few years ago I was on the hunt for what I was calling an "old man bike". It was incredibly hard to find any, & I never did find a low cost one. Some of those Pashley's would have fit the bill....well except for the cheap part.
Anyway, I hope that your gift is a success!
