I've wanted a Bellanca Super Viking since I discovered flying as a serious option in my life. It's been 8 months of shopping and now I have one. Lucky me, it is based in my town.

I lined up a CFI who can check me out in it and train me for my high performance and complex ratings.

Yeah baby.

Once I organize the hangar and all that jazz there will be a couch in there.

Congrats, and a proper airplane to boot

Very nice! I looked really hard at the Super Vike when I was looking.

Love the accent color! Nice plane.

Sweet! Congrats.

Make sure you call Terminix. ;)

You'll love it, fast planes and fun to fly.

congrats, looks nice!!

so were u able to get insurance without having the complex/HP endorsement?

Nice aircraft, quite the speedy bird!

Nice let’s see some more pics

Nice. I was not expecting this thread to have a cool plane

That is an awful, dreadful example of an airplane. I will fly it to the junk yard for you. Just give me the keys. And the logbooks. And sign the registration form over to me. I'll take care of everything.
Lol ok i'll get right on it.

I wont insure it until I obtain the hours they demand first. They want 10 hours with instructor and 10 hours solo before theyll insure it.

I can get that done in a few weeks.

That sux! I had to have 25 hrs dual for the 210!

I think this is different than what I'm asking though.....you had insurance when u bought the plane, no? the 25 hours was just a requirement before u could carry pax. I'm asking the OP if he was able to get ANY insurance on a complex/hp plane WITHOUT a comp/hp endorsement. and I think what he's saying is he bought the plane and is going to fly it with no insurance.

That's taking quite a risk. I'd insure it now. Granted, you won't be covered if you cheat and fly it solo without meeting their requirements which is probably so many hours with a CFI who has so many hours in model. I certainly wouldn't take the risk having it uninsured just so you can delay making your first premium payment for a few weeks

That's what he said.

"I wont insure it until I obtain the hours they demand first. They want 10 hours with instructor and 10 hours solo before theyll insure it. I can get that done in a few weeks." Them not insuring it at all until he has 10 hours solo doesn't pass the logic check. I think it's probably 10 solo before he can have pax. Check on that @Daniel L

I havent insured it yet because I wont be flying it until at least a month from now.

And ill seek clarification with the insurance company. Sounded off.

I definitely wont go without insurance if I dont have to.

I had insurance that covered the plane as long as I was getting 25 hrs dual instruction. I couldn’t solo or carry passengers w/o the 25 hrs first. I didn’t have a complex prior to buying the 210.

Daniel, your plane is a beauty... even it it's not of the triple-tail variety. Please plan on a trip to KSBP and I will buy you lunch!

Super Vikings have a place in my heart. I almost bought one last year but I fell on a mint V35B Bonanza that I have full access to. I decided I don't need a super Viking if I have a Doctor Killer in my hangar.

Ohhhh.. nice!

Since your first long ass cross country in it will be Rough River Dam 2019, you can give us all a ride
;)
