This is a two hour inspection per plane is the estimate. Will be interesting if the FAA publishes how many planes affected. Airlines asked to notify Boeing and FAA for any planes with an issue.

Inspections like this are carried out almost constantly for various things discovered during maintenance. Had this not been a MAX it would never have made the news.
