Both pilots were simultaneously making inputs to the flight controls without talking to each other.

What I want to know is WHY the PNF who if I understand correctly was the copilot, felt it necessary or appropriate to apply control inputs without communicating with the PF.

Makes a little more sense. One of the articles referred to the PNF as the copilot.

Still bad CRM.
