Final Approach
An acquaintence of mine from years ago, Col Richard Searfoss, a retired space shuttle pilot, passed away this week. I did not know him well, but he spoke at my Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor. For my brother's Eagle award he took a US flag with him to space and then presented it to my brother. He also gave me a signed picture of the STS-90 crew that he commanded. He had great flying stories and had a remarkable career. Not many of us can say we docked a space shuttle with a space station. A great pilot and an even better human being.
