Can't be rankings that Nick is on about.If you think football rankings are worthless, they are nothing compared to how worthless basketball rankings are. Basketball is such a 'tournament' game. You can stink all through the season and make a run in a tournament at the end of the season and have a chance to win it all.
That's why basketball will always be a superior sport.
BUT, with that said... It's nice to see new teams break into the (worthless) rankings. For teams that usually aren't ranked, it gets them some more press on ESPN and helps fill seats at their games.

Don't matter to me! Every poll I'm seeing has the Lobos in the top 20. I was expecting #23 or #24.
