Personally, I'd get a nice C-182 (properly equipped) and use the rest of the money for gas and maintenance. I could have a lot of flying fun for a quarter million dollars.

Matter of personal preference I guess. Turbine for me. I like getting behind a radial for fun occasionally but turbine is so much more reliable.
