Here in Denver Wings Over The Rockies at the former Lowry USAF base is very good. The Exploration Of Flight on the south side of KAPA is worth a look and has two ATDs (Redbird FMX1000 and Fly The Sim) and a Redbird Crosswind device.
The museum down at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs is well worth a trip. They have a 121 in the USAF command and control configuration that you can walk through. Imagine AWACS but with plotting boards and grease pencils.
KPUB Pueblo, CO used to have a nice outdoor museum that also included trains. Restaurant was nice a nice and FBO had really good cookies too.
Cape Canaveral is double dipped in awesome sauce.
The US Army Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL is a great way to spend a day.
Several ham and pilot folk have raved about the museum in Hutchinson, KS but we have not made it over there yet.
