Basic Med upgrade ??

There has been some discussion concerning upgrading the size and weight of aircraft available to pilots flying under basic med.
Is this still under consideration?

It is in effect- up to 12,500 lbs (as long as it requires no type rating) and pilot plus six seats (gain of one seat). Still restricted to 18,000’ or less.
