I wanted to share my recent, uber-positive experience with a malfunctioning Bad Elf GPS unit in case anyone is thinking of buying one of these for their iPad. I would rank their customer service among the very best of companies. When I detected a longer than normal acquisition rate for the GPS unit I sent in an email to their tech support group. Within an hour I received a response from a person on their staff.
I answered some very easy questions and, after exchanging a couple of emails, I was sent instructions that same evening to receive a free replacement unit through their website, including free shipping. Not once did they ask how old the unit was or ask any question that would indicate a reluctance to support their product. To the contrary, they always showed a genuine interest in helping to resolve my problem. What a remarkable experience in today's corporate environment!
