Avionics shop nightmare

Very sorry about the ordeal, I’d look for an exit of some sort. I imagine it’s not easily flyable now.
My panel won’t win any awards, that’s ok with me. Back in the day I flew to Alaska with a boat Loran(where it worked), a weak VOR, and looking out the window. Now I get by with a newer KX-155, GPS-175, 2 G-5’s, and my IPad Mini, tied to the GDL-50.

I’d tell them you want the aircraft flyable, to leave, then bring it somewhere with better reviews.
And call a good lawyer who deals with consumer issues. Also, if the shop is a Garmin dealer, detailed complaint to Garmin.

I'm dealing with a GPS175 and G5 install that killed my ASDB-OUT The original shop didn't even bother to check things so took to another shop, they have been tinkering with it since December and not a single thing
I will say Garmin experimental support is seriously lacking and don't seem to be too concerned. It's beyond frustrating

Bet I could have that figured out in no time. There's really not much to go wrong.

This is what occurs when you do the “call me when it’s done”

Build relationships and work alongside and this is all but eliminated

If my plane is in your shop, I’m in your shop, my annuals and the like are always on days off

While I do understand that some shops are like this, other shops are not, and most of us really dislike having someone over their shoulder micromanaging them when they’re trying to work and organize their thoughts. While I understand your bad experience with the last shop, I won’t be held to answer for the crimes of a previous shop.

Besides…people who do the “build relationships” nonsense are the same people that think they can play the haggle game with your shop prices in the end. Another type that I refuse to deal with.
When do you wanna come over KHGR?

Literally I’ve had someone spend 12+hrs on it so far
I can probably fly out there once this weather BS passes. Possibly next Saturday?

I’ll send you a DM.

I had a couple 275’s and a GFC 500 installed last fall, the shop estimated 3 weeks and after a hurricane scare it took about 4 weeks, which I consider ahead of time in the aviation industry! Everything worked flawlessly!
Same shop has my 414 for a G600 Txi, Garmin 275, and Stec 3100 autopilot installation, estimated at 6 weeks and I believe they will be on time or very close.
In 2013 I had a full Garmin panel installed in my 425, G600, 650/750, remote transponders and audio panel. I went to visit the shop after a couple weeks, it wasn’t far from my office, the tech mentioned that they had “used almost all the labor” during the removal of the old radios and panel. Bottom line, their “estimate” was woefully short on labor. They did a good job, but we went round and round about the bill, almost triple the labor!!
There is a difference between estimates and quotes. We resolved it finally, but I was never happy with the shop. The guy that gave me the estimate was fired, but the shop knew as soon as they started the labor was too low, they should have figured that out and discussed it before it was all torn apart.
