I tried to upload a new avatar today and got this error
Your file of 245.0 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 293.0 KB for this filetype.

I only have a minor in math but I am pretty sure that 245 is LESS than 293 and that the file should have uploaded.

Scott--

E-mail me the avatar. jesse (ALPHA TANGO) jesseangell (CHARLIE OSCAR MIKE)

You're stuck with this avatar for life (twilight zone theme) :D

The king of avatar needs help? Did the world end and I missed it?
Jesse... if it's another eyeball, tell him it's too weird.

I wanted to check something out before I sent it to you. It appears that the error was not file size related but the number of pixels. I edited the image to 200x180 pixels and it uploaded. The error message apparently only lists file size and hence the confusion.

I like it, but my old eyes can't make out what the sign says. "Nutty Hedges Health Farm and Spa"?

I don't care what the sign says, it's your best ever. Two thumbs up!

(Do squirrels have thumbs?)

I suspected that. You'll see it does warn you that there are the two limits.

I did see that warning. Before I wanted to eat up Jesse's time I wanted to check out if that was the issue. But as you can see the error message returned did not indicate a pixel size issue. The error message logic has an issue.

Something must be screwed up. It should resize things that exceed the pixel limitation down to an acceptable size while maintaining aspect ratio. Without the avatar/file that was causing the problem though--I'm not going to try looking for it.
