He did good. Do not overlook the controller urging him to push the nose down when he began flaring about 50 feet up and then to hold off, hold it off. He did good too.

He'd apparently landed the 172 a few times, and was a quick study. He hadn't flown a 152 at all.

The recording of this is up on VAS Aviation's youtube channel and it's definitely worth a listen. Amazing work by that controller! The controller was a lot more useful than the supposed flight instructor that they got on comm in part 2.
