A friend was telling me a story of their friend's child who is in flight training in the Atlanta area. In the story, the student pilot and her instructor heard someone on frequency asking for help, that their pilot was incapacitated. In the story, the flight instructor talked the passenger into a landing, at a non-towered field.

I didn't believe the story, but then I was told that it never made the news, how convenient.

Anything like that around Atlanta October 21, or 22?

General Aviation / Gainesville, Georgia

The passenger of a single-engine Cessna 150 made a hard landing at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville, Georgia, after the pilot experienced a medical emergency around 6:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Oct.18. Two people on board. The FAA will investigate.

The pilot suffered a medical issue inflight and later died. The passenger circled the airplane around KGVL and landed hard on the runway.
