Just curious, are there any radio stations out there in the U.S. that are related to aviation?

If so, are they all online radio or are some of them FM and AM radio as well?

If there are any aviation-related radio stations, what are some of the topics that the people who are on air talk about? Aviation news, aviation events and air shows, etc?

Do some of the aviation radio stations even play music on air and if so what kinds of music?

Doesn't Oshkosh radio play on a loop all year?

Obviously only a weeks worth of listening but I always enjoyed the talk segments they had.

Sure there are. A whole bunch of them.

AM 121.5 gives occasional aviation entertainment. AM 122.8 as well. And the weather comes on AM 122.0.

AM 122.8 as well

Where you will hear great classics like:

"Cowboy in the Sky" by NORDO and Company
"Take it Wide" by the B52's Pattern
"Straight In" by the Joan Jet Jockies

And my personal favorite:

"Any Traffic? (Please Advise)" by the boy band Uncontrolled

on the B side of that is:

"Line Up and Wait" by the Incursions

Speaking of radio entertainment...it is usually:

"WaaaAAAAts-Berry Traffic...Jumpers AWAYYYYYYyyyyyyyyy!"

I have not had the pleasure to meet Nick in person yet but by the end of the day he sounds like he is ready to go straight to the loony bin after a day at work in the jump plane and on the radio! Its great!

No, the market share for aviation advertising dollars does not appear on the radar of commercial radio stations, pilots are not only rare in the general population, they are cheap to boot. Since radio and TV are all about selling advertising time, it's just not a format you are going to see given the costs of running a broadcast station.

If you want that kind of content you have to look into the online market, plenty of podcasts out there.

I've had a couple of friends appear on this program in the past. I listen to the podcasts occasionally. I'm not a fan of talk radio but these guys can be pretty entertaining. Look in the left margin for the Podcast heading and click on it. That'll send you to the iTunes library of past episodes.
