No. The GNS series uses Garmin's proprietary card, while the G1000 uses standard SD cards.

The cards are physically the same, but there's different data stored on each one.

They are very different. The GNS series uses what is basically a raw NAND chip in box with a pinout, the G1000 uses an SD card. The WAAS cards for the 430W/530W are different also as compared to the 430, although the form factor is the same (higher capacity).
