Anyone with Dynon Skyview installed on a cessna 205? If so what is your setup and what autopilot did you end up installing?

Hello Pilots,

New to the forum! So great to be here. Interested in upgrading my cessna 205 avionics with the Dynon skyview dual display system. I am kinda stuck on the autopilot not being approved for the 205. Any ideas of how some you have navigated the autopilots?

It looks like the GFC500 is not approved for the 205 either. If you need to have an auto pilot, then you will need to look at STEC probably. It will be expensive. I don't know what models are approved for the 205, but they may be the only game in town for your plane. Dynon will take care of everything except the auto pilot.

It looks like the GFC500 is not approved for the 205 either.

The 205 is actually on the 210 TCDS. It’s known as a 210-5, and the GFC 500 is available for it.

I had remembered hearing this, but forgot about it. Well then the GFC500 is what I would recommend as well as the Dynon system. We have a 206 in the shop now getting this combination.
