Anyone know what’s coming in the AME Guide for December?

Hello,

Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone knows what could be of importance in the AME guide for December? Dr. Northrop mentioned last month that more significant mental health changes are coming very soon and my contact that was apart of the ARC mentioned the same thing. I saw that they are now advertising that there will be policy updates for December which is a change in the schedule as OKC originally wasn’t going to do any update until the last Wednesday in January. As of last week during the November update there is a notice saying a Administrative Change to the AME Guide will be now released on Tuesday December 31, which is an off schedule update from the last Wednesday of the month. Not trying to stir the pot with rumors, but just curious. Thanks!

That makes sense, common sense actually, because I have shared the air and have spoken to some pilots who have ADHD and was never diagnosed and wonder how they hell they can pay attention long enough to not get lost in the air

And it’s not liberalizing in the least: FAA announced at a grand rounds that eff. 1 Jan, if not everything that the FAA needs to approve the airman is present, they will issue a denial early. No more “please within 60 days send……”. It will be followed with a “for further consideration” letter...
