I took the week off and might take the kids to see it if it's not to intense for a 9 year boy and an 11 year old girl. Any reviews here?
Saw it in 3D this weekend.
I saw it, and although I loved the movie, I was totally turned off by the - what I took as - highly politicized message. Did anyone notice that? "Shock and Awe"? It was beyond blatant as far as I was concerned.

This one was done so well that you'd have a hard time believing it was CG if the characters, flora and animals weren't so alien. I've seen it twice (went back for the 3D version) and enjoyed it both times. I was concerned that the 3D would be overwhelming but fortunately it wasn't and actually made the experience better.CG ain't my thing. Won't be seeing it.
Perfect audience.
Within the Hollywood medium "movies" not "films" it's perfect.
Agreed....we saw it in 3D. The new 3D Cameron used was amazing.
Yes the plot is a bit cliche and the overtones heavy-handed. With that said...it was one hell of a movie, one of the best I have seen in a long time.
$430MM to make this movie. Simply nuts.
Jessie and I are hoping to see it this weekend in 3D.
Cheers,

Its made a billion so far. Not so nuts, perhaps?
The whole premise of why we were squatting on an alien planet was to mine a rare and valuable mineral which the script writers named "unobtainium". That pretty much tells you all you need to know about the pen quality. That said, the effects were great (and I want one of those helicopters....)
Nope. That was Kevin Kostner and Kevin Reynolds.I wonder what the lifetime return on James Cameron is. He made Waterworld, right?
Cheers,
