Any plastic fairings for Cessna-172

We continue to expand the range of plastic parts. Due to the high strength, the warranty period will have to be extended.

bottom line is these parts are illegal to install in the US on a certified aircraft. period.

You are absolutely right, the near future will be absolutely legal.
Certification work is actively underway and is doomed to success.
Why?
Because our parts are stronger, because they are lighter, because their service life is many times higher.

good luck, and i wish you well on certification.

and you still have not received PMA or FAA approval, so they are still illegal to install on a certified aircraft.

Couldn't they be installed as OPP assuming the IA was in agreement?

Not by simply purchasing them. To qualify for OPP the owner needs to be involved in one of 5 ways. For example, if you were to send meglin a copy of the OEM drawing for the part and he then produced them per that drawing for you then sure you could go the OPP. But at present, actively selling and advertising these parts for install on a TC aircraft violates both Part 21 and Part 3. So as mentioned above they aren't legal to install in their present form. I suppose an AP could pursue an alteration under their certificate or at a higher level but one big road block is the parts are produced outside the US in a country without a bilateral agreement if I recall correctly.

I am afraid that after receiving approval, no one will take parts from other manufacturers :).
FAR 21.303 b states owner and operator may make or have made replacement or modified parts for their own equipment, airlines, FAR 122, 135 and part 91 and 137 can and do this in order to maintain their own equipment!

Have they been fire tested? I can't see these going inside a cabin without meeting FAA burn testing criteria.

At annual, if there is any question, the IA will have final say on your OPP parts and if he wants to sign off an Airframe with them. He may never see them, or it may be the first thing they check for. Be ready to take the risk.

We have resumed production of glazing for the C-172, Socata Rally, Yak-52, Zlin-42/43, Al-60 Aeromacchi Lockheed.
