Ben:
Bonanza.
Like the saying goes - you know you want one anyway!
if i HAD to buy an airplane it would have to have a towhook. so, maybe the 206?
Additionally, why no turbine? A late model Matrix or Bonanza would cost on par with, say, a 10-year-old Meridian. There are also the jetprop conversions of Bonanzas, 210s and Malibus that might warrant consideration, depending on the specifics.
If we open up the turbine box of Pandora, I of course would opt for the PC12.
But if you open the box enough for a PC12, why not a King Air 200? That, to me, is pretty close to the ultimate family airplane. Assuming cost is not a factor, of course. If we open up the turbine box of Pandora, I of course would opt for the PC12.

Simple. Because the thread question was "I'm rich and I want a single."
Now, Ted, you know as well as I do the only person who wants a single is someone who hasn't flown a twin.Simple. Because the thread question was "I'm rich and I want a single."

Boy would that be an incentive to go get my ASES.Nothing beats the sound of a round engine.
All I see is a white box. What gem do you have on floats?
And this thread was about singles. Twins? I'll take an A-26, please.![]()

I love the A-26, try the link, don't know why it didn't embed.

Well that didn't work, either. Here's the message on the screen.
"The URL contained a malformed video ID.
Sorry about that."
Oh well...
single engine
six seat
hey since when does the original question have anything to do with the answer?
Now, Ted, you know as well as I do the only person who wants a single is someone who hasn't flown a twin.
Duke. Man, if I had an A&P/IA, I'd love to own one. Yes, thirsty, a little cramped, but STYLISH!!!!!
But, no, it's a PC12 for me. Comparing a KingAir 200 to a PC12 is like comparing, I dunno, Rosie to Elle MacPherson. IMHO.
