Anniversary

[The Old Man]

Today (5/9) marks the 10th anniversary of my check ride. Whee!

Since that date, we have added 741hrs (843 total) to my logbook, visited 29 states, landed at 186 airports and taken 66 people for a ride.

In May 2001, I was about to turn 60 and said then that if I was lucky, I could probably continue flying for 10 more years. I just got a new medical, so I have at least one more year. Let's see if I can get a little closer to the 1000hr mark.

That made me realize - Today is my 8th anniversary. Passed my checkride on 5/12/2003 at 42.6 hours. Now I'm up to 888.2 and a few more ratings, and still loving every minute.
