I was out flying around locally, looking for surf spots, decided to head to another grass strip nearby (2b2). I turn final, and I see a white shirt run around on the runway. Its dusk, kind of hard to see... then he runs off to the side and stands there. Ok, wtf... Keep my approach going, I'm about 300', and then I see it. Maybe 50-60 geese on the runway. He was trying to herd them off the strip. They wanted nothing to do with him, and didn't move.

Guess he was there taking pictures of the birds or something. There's a road right along the runway, no fence. I throttle up and go around after dropping to 100', which scared all the birds off.

When I landed, that section of the field was full of feathers, and probably goose ****.

So thanks, stranger, for trying. :yesnod:

Or, he could've been taking pictures of "all the pretty geese" and was worried your awful fossil fuel burning noise making death trap was going to cause the turd bombers some emotional trauma. He is probably complaining to all his buds on the PETA forum right now!

I'll go with situation A. I don't think pets people like geese either

PETA or PITA??

Maybe a good thing they were geese. Try to scare off seagulls like that and they'll all head for your windshield. God they're stupid birds.

Not likely. He would have been running away from the geese with a bunch of them nipping at his butt, then.

Geese are the ***holes of the avian world.

One medium sized Dog would've fixed the issue right away :)
