Something cool about amphibs and twins.. sadly there's not a good offering here in the US for this type of plane.. or at all. We recently stayed at a Hangar Home up in the Yosemite area where the guy had a twin Seabee.. really cool plane. Sent me down a twin amphib rabbit hole.. and found this:

Whatchu talking about willys? Plenty of US twin amphibs.

ALL of the Grumman amphibs (Widgeon, Goose, Mallard, Albatross), not to mention the new composite Widgeon aka the gweduck.

there's one of these in the socal area, there's some videos of it out at Lake Havasu and Lake Isabella (Kern).. they're not cheap!

I wonder what the OEI rate of climb is on that thing. It looks like a Diamond Twin Star had a wild night with a Lake Amphib and this is the harvest. This means somewhere there is a DA42 with a chewed-off arm and a heap of regrets.

I saw one of those Berievs at the show. It was for sale even. Great aircraft, until you need repairs. Or parts.

Funny thing is I knew that thing was Russian before I saw it was a Beriev.

Friend of mine has tons of time in a Beech 18 on floats. He also did his tailwheel endorsement in the Beech 18. Those are cool planes!

Dornier has a thing for stocking engines in pods one tractor one pusher, they've been doing that since the dawn of aviation

They seem to be turboprops, so it probably is quieter than this Dornier:
