It's not the flying that is inherently dangerous. It's the crashing. I'm glad everyone escaped with their lives.

Doesn’t look like the prop has much damage if I can actually see it in the picture. Hard to pick it out from the building debris. Engine quit on takeoff?

So much for the idea you can't spin an Ercoupe. Just takes a bit more effort.
 
Given the difficulty to refuel in that position, are they going to charge him a ramp fee instead?

Good to hear they got them out and off to hospital.
