I've never smoked meat. It's as American as apple pie, but can't say I've ever tried smoking meat. Tried a cigarette once, not a huge fan, but I've heard smoking meat would leave a worse aftertaste than a cigarette. Stogies, however, are good on occasion.
Smoking meat brings out flavors that will make you drool all over yourself. Rub a brisket and smoke a brisket and life is complete.
Any time I've ever smoked anything I end up coughing all over myself. I'm sure smoking a brisket would probably have a similar effect. I did, however, find this link to a product whereby you can smoke bacon. I've never smoked bacon either.

I tried to smoke a turkey once, it took 15 packs of rolling papers and I couldn't get it to stay lit!
So....where is he?
I feel like I should know/remember who Captain is. But I can't.Odd that Captain hasn't commented on the welcome back thread.
He must really hate cole slaw.
you know, guys, I've got some very important "does this count as PIC" questions to ask, but threads like this keeps everyone from answering them. Let's keep it serious.
yup....can't have a fish taco without it.Slaw IS serious business.
I looooooove cole slaw; even if it does taste like fish!yup....can't have a fish taco without it.
If you find Tennille, chances are he won't be far away.
Looks like Conan O'Brien
I don't think Conan was born when that picture was taken.
He had to be brave to go on TV with that haircut and that suit!I was watching Johnny Carson, one night, at least 30 years ago, and he had Lee Marvin on fora n interview. Somehow Captain Kangaroo came up in their conversation, and Lee Marvin told a story about Bob Keeshan (Capt Kangaroo). He apparently saved his entire squad in a battle with some German soldiers in WWII.
Lee Marvin praised Keeshan as the bravest man he ever met.

I had a turd that wouldn't flush. That's pretty much the same thing right?
Next time just use a coat hanger and the ice bucket. You can dislodge anything with those tools.

Wasn't it Gustave Whitehead that said that first? So tired of the Wrights claiming credit for Gustave's work.
