En-Route
That Redoubt volcano ash plume is HUGE!
Even up here we received a light dusting, but things have calmed a little.
I am wondering where the TFR is like Mount Saint Helen's here in Washington state.
You sure about that?Too bad I don't have an Asia trip scheduled or I might get a first hand look at that when we fly by.
http://www.adn.com/photos/environme...347.html?/1521/gallery/672348-a681912-t3.htmlA KLM Boeing 747 was about 5 miles up and headed for Anchorage Friday December 15, 1989 when it flew into a cloud of ash from Redoubt Volcano and its four powerful turbofan engines stopped. The jet dropped more than two miles before pilots could restart the engines and land safely.
YepYou sure about that?
