Wow Jack

Great shots as always but he seems to have missed the part of the brief that said to smile.

My favorite shots are #3 and #6, the sunset shot. Just gorgeous.

At what point in the shoot did the pilot fall out and leave the passenger just sitting there?

:p

Beautiful photos

Just curious, since I don’t know much about Cubs. Is it common to fly with the door in the down position and the window up? It looks like this would just add drag, so I’m wondering why not just remove them?

Yes it is common to fly that way. My L8A is approved for flight without doors, don't know about the J3. I normally fly with both windows open minimal drag but one open and one closed will induce a bit of a turning tendency. Barely noticeable though. I can reach the right window from the left seat and I'm only 5'6".

In warm weather I fly with the right side completely open, and the left window down.
In cold weather I fly with everything closed.
There is no discernible difference between the two modes.

As a former aviation photographer (and writer) with quite a few air-to-air shoots in my past, I admire your work.
